My baby is a tummy sleeper.+
Tummy sleepers can be a bit trickier when it comes to leaks. Moving up a size can help the nappy sit a little higher for better coverage. Another handy tip is to try putting the nappy on back-to-front at night.
NAPPIES/PANTS
Do your nappies use water-based inks?+
Yes! Our nappies are printed with water-based inks. These inks meet our product safety and eco guidelines, and are made without harsh or harmful chemicals used to set colour. They’re a gentle, low-impact option we’ve chosen to help keep your little one comfortable.
Do your nappies contain harsh chemicals?+
No - our nappies and pants are made with your little one’s sensitive skin in mind. They’re dermatologically tested and free from harsh or “nasty” chemicals, so you can feel confident using them every day.
What are Hey Tiger nappies made from?+
Our nappies are made from high-quality materials chosen for comfort, absorbency and safety. They include fluff pulp, super-absorbent material (SAP), soft polypropylene non-woven fabrics, protective film, and gentle elastic and fastening components. Every material goes through a strict safety assessment and is made under carefully controlled guidelines.
Do you use super-absorbents in your products?+
Yes. Like all disposable nappies, Hey Tiger nappies use a type of super-absorbent called sodium polyacrylate (SAP). It helps draw moisture away from your baby’s skin and into the nappy to keep them feeling dry.
Why has my baby’s nappies started to leak at night?+
Night-time leaks are usually caused by size, fit, or changes in your baby’s routine. Every baby moves differently and has unique bladder and bowel habits, so occasional leaks can happen - but a few simple adjustments more often than not fix the issue:
- 1. Check the size
The weight range on our packs is a guide only. If your baby is near the top of the range or their nappies suddenly start leaking overnight, it’s often a sign they’re ready to move up a size. - 2. Check the fit
A good fit helps the nappy do its best work. Make sure:
The tabs fasten securely at the hips.
The leg cuffs are untucked and sitting flat (tucked cuffs can cause side leaks).
The waistband sits snugly with no gaps at the back. - 3. Consider overnight needs
Long stretches of sleep can mean fuller nappies by morning. A size up usually provides more absorbency and helps prevent leaks during these longer sleeps.
If you’ve tried these tips and your little one is still leaking, our Customer Love team is always here to help. Just reach out and we’ll work through it with you!
I’m finding the tabs short or too tight.+
Our tabs are designed to fasten closer to the hips than some other brands - this is part of a newer, global-fit design. For newborns, this can also help reduce pressure on their tiny belly buttons. If the tabs feel too tight, try checking the size or adjusting the fit a little wider across the hips.
Why does Hey Tiger not have boys’ and girls’ nappies?+
We follow global trends and make unisex nappies. They’re designed to absorb moisture efficiently and keep all babies comfy, no matter their position or movement. Plus, our cute Rory print is made for every little tiger to enjoy!
Are your nappies cruelty-free and vegan?+
Yes! Our nappies are cruelty-free and vegan.
Are your nappies dermatologically tested?+
Yes! Our nappies are proudly certified by Dermatest.
What is the gel inside the nappies?+
The gel you may see is from the super-absorbent material (SAP) mixed with the nappy’s fluff pulp. SAP turns liquid into gel to keep the nappy absorbent. It’s widely used in sanitary products and is considered safe, non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-mutagenic.
I’ve found some gel on my baby’s skin.+
Occasionally, a tiny amount of SAP gel can escape from the nappy core. It’s harmless and can be wiped off easily with a baby wipe or damp cloth.
Do your nappies contain formaldehyde?+
No - Hey Tiger nappies and nappy pants contain no formaldehyde, and no added fragrances, chlorine, or latex*. We use water-based inks, and our products are dermatologically tested to be safe for sensitive skin.

Sizing
The size guide on the pack doesn’t suit my baby.+
Every baby is wonderfully unique, so sizes can vary from child to child. The weight ranges on our packs are a helpful guide, but comfort and fit can differ depending on your baby’s shape. If the size seems off, try the next size up or down to see what fits best.
